The HostMaps.com project was started as a way to help web site builders, bloggers, and business owners determine the locations of various hosting providers’ server or data center locations. While most hosts publish this information on their websites (some still don’t), it usually requires some browsing through their sites to get the server or data center locations.
With HostMaps.com, the idea was to collate this information and provide it all in one place to help make hosting decisions easier. And while server or data center locations may not be completely relevant for all websites or blogs, it definitely can be for local or regional businesses looking to maintain fast loading times to aid in search engine results.
Keep in mind this is a work in progress, and while we develop the site and add more functionality and features, hosts WILL change their server or data center locations, so we’ll do our best to keep things up to date. If you do see any mistakes, or know of a host’s additional server locations, make sure to report it here so we can update our information. If you’re a host (not a reseller), and would like to be listed, you can fill out this form and we’ll look at getting you added to the site as soon as we can.
Lastly, some of the hosts shown on HostMaps.com are affiliates. By clicking on the links we may possibly earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This helps to keep the project going, and with enough clicks, additional features will be added.
